A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered a man who says he is "married to Taylor Swift" to stay away from her for three years.
Swift received the restraining order from Judge Carol Boas Goodson, against Timothy Sweet.
Swift alleges that Sweet sent messages threatening to harm her family, or anyone else who interferes with his perceived relationship with her. She said that she feared for her safety at home and in public.
Sweet has shown-up uninvited at her homes in Beverly Hills and Nashville, according to court filings.
"Dearest Taylor, I'll kill any man who gets in the way of our marriage," one of the threatening messages stated, according to the filing.
The restraining order covers Swift's homes, parents, and places where she works in Los Angeles and Nashville.
