The Healthiest Thanksgiving Foods
You probably think of Thanksgiving dinner as a time to 'pig-out.' But there are actually lots of Thanksgiving foods that are GOOD for you!
1. TURKEY. It's one of the healthiest meats, and is almost totally fat-free. And, it's a great source of protein.
2. CRANBERRIES. They've got antioxidants and nutrients, so they can help prevent ulcers and infections. They're also full of vitamins.
3. SWEET POTATOES. They're rich in fiber and minerals, so they're better for you than regular mashed potatoes.
4. APPLE PIE. Apples have vitamins and fiber, and the spice ingredients usually have health benefits, too. Make it even healthier by preparing it with a wheat crust.
Of course...don't pile on the whipped cream!
